This painfully cold weather we've been experiencing lately leaves me daydreaming about summer. Ahhhh, summer. With your blue skies and beach beckoning-Hurry up and get here!
I figured I could get a little taste of summer by putting Maggie in her bikini. She will probably just be wearing this getup around the house, but my oh my she looks good with those cute little rolls hanging out everywhere!
I hope this warms your day a little!
Internet world, I must level with you- my daughter is the cutest! She wins.

I don't know if you can tell, but she's been working on her fitness.

The following picture is probably one of my all time favorites. It pretty much sums up Maggie. You can tell she is assuming the position to make a speed crawl escape, while I am doing my best to hang on to her. Let's just say the girl is incredibly curious and hates (absolutely hates) to sit still....She is her father's child. :)

Hahahaha "working on her fitness" Too cute!!
(01.22.10 @ 11:24 AM)Hey Gals!
We wanted to give ya'll a heads up about two open houses going on this Sunday in down town Wilmington. The Dudley Mansion is open from 1-5 and Balcony on Dock is open 1-4, both events are free and within a couple blocks of each other....definitely check them out!
Both The Dudley Mansion and Balcony are fabulous venues for weddings!

Jenny and Bobby were married on December 19th, which happens to be one of my very favorite days-Kevin's birthday. This particular December 19th happened to be one of the coldest days of the year, bitterly cold in fact. But that did not dampen this couple's spirits at all, they were absolutely glowing the entire day! Jenny and Bobby are adorable and so easy together, they were lovely to photograph. We thoroughly enjoyed being a part of their wedding day, and now that our December 19ths have intertwined, we will always think of you two on your anniversary :)
Rachel with Bridal by the Sea was the amazing wedding planner/coordinator extraordinaire. This was our first time working with Rachel and we were very impressed with her and her team. She is definitely a pro and handles potentially stressful situations effortlessly- plus she kept us in stitches the whole day, we are fans :)
Jenny was beaming the whole day!
I love this moment between Jenny and her mom as they walk into the church.
Jenny's was moved to tears as her sister placed the veil on her head. It was very evident that they shared a special bond together.

She was a very happy bride!

We utilized some lovely light and interesting textures in the church.

Because of the frigid temps, everyone decided to scratch the original plan for beach pictures. However, Jenny and Bobby (and their amazing wedding party) changed their minds and decided they could muster up the resolve to face the weather for the sake of some lovely images...and I am so glad they did!
See how these gals are bundled up?
And now coatless-girls you are amazing!

The reception was held at the Ocean Club Resort in Atlantic Beach, NC. The club was beautiful, the staff was attentive and the food was wonderful.

I just love these next few.

Bobby and his grandmother.

We wish you both many, many happy December 19ths filled with love and joy!

(02.01.10 @ 01:06 PM)The Dudley Mansion is opening it's doors for weddings in 2010 and we are so excited for the future events we will be photographing there! This place is ahhhh-mazing! We were surprised that such a jewel existed in Wilmington. The house itself is breathtaking. Every inch is perfectly decorated in a way that brings you back to the South of the 1800s. Pembroke and Sarah Jones were former owners of the mansion and they would throw lavish parties there, even presidents attended their events. Because of the mansion and the parties thrown there eventually the phrase "keeping up with the Joneses," was coined. Seriously. This is "the" house that started that saying!
We were thrilled at the opportunity to photograph the mansion and grounds. We had some lovely models to pose for us too. The backyard gardens are spacious and beautifully manicured, and would make a stunning backdrop to any wedding or reception. There is definitely no other venue in town like the Dudley.
So to our future brides, secretly planning the tiny details of your big day while waiting for him to put a ring on that finger, please oh pretty please, get married at The Dudley!
A huge thanks to Allison and Alex our models and everyone else that contributed to the shoot, you all are the bee's knees!
Wendy with A Beautiful Event did an lovely job with the flowers and table spread and with super short notice-thanks Wendy you are amazing!!! Also thanks to Party Suppliers.
The ever gracious gals at Fountaine Bridals gave Allison an uber chic gown to wear.
Makeup was done by N Salo Salon, and I know from experience that they give killer hair cuts there as well!
Elisha Wendt owner of Lavish Boutique Salon, styled Allison's gorgeous red locks.
The vintage hair piece was from Amuse and the tux was provided by Men's Wearhouse.
Here is a view of the back of the mansion

Gorgeous girl + gorgeous light= wonderful.
