Rich and Jessica painstakingly worked to create a relaxing, intimate reception for their guests, and it was truly representative of who they are as a couple. They had a Caribbean band, signature drink, and countless details that made the party unique. Jessica's dad sculpted the beautiful lighthouses that adorned each table and each lighthouse was different-the detail in each was amazing!

This was probably one of our all time favorite BHI weddings! Wonderful couple, wonderful guests and a fun, memorable party! They even planned a cookout after the reception as a fun after party for all the wedding guests!

November 4, 2009 // Personal / life

Our sweet little girl just had her 5 month birthday on November 1st!
She is rolling around everywhere and now she is showing the beginning movements of crawling. Lucky for us, she is still a work in progress on that one. She is quite the drooling machine, always glistening with slobber. Also, she is perfecting the art of the kiss. Which to her is a big sloppy, open mouth "O" shape that she leans in towards your face, along with lots of slobber. It's darling. Recently she has discovered her feet, which was quite the discovery of her little life. She can frequently be found trying to pull her socks off and then when successful, placing those cute stubby toes in her mouth...followed by a grimace. She is so much fun.

We feel so privileged to be able to watch her grow up!

These are some images compiled from that last month. She is changing so fast it's hard to keep up!

Jessica and Rich (to be horribly cliche) were made for each other.

They are a uniquely compatible couple and very much in love. I believe this marriage has been seven years in the making. And with such a loving history built upon friendship and withstanding time and distance-it is truly going to be a lasting thing.

This two were a dream to photograph. They were up for just about anything and it allowed us to be as creative as we wished. A great couple and a beautiful day at Bald Head Island makes for some very happy photographers!

We started the day at this amazing beach house.
sattler001.jpg Bald Head Island is so beautiful. We love the opportunity to photograph there.
sattler002.jpg Jessica had this bell engraved for Rich with their wedding date on it. I think it is such a unique wedding gift.

sattler020.jpg These two hold hands (actually pinkies) this way when they want to say 'I love you' to each other without any one else knowing. I love it.

We recently had some fun with the Davis family
Their daughter, Penelope, is growing like a weed and getting cuter by the moment. I can't believe she will be turning one in December. Time passes so quickly watching a baby grow and she is a joy to watch!

I'm so thankful that Melissa and Matt are ahead of us on the parental learning curve! Kevin and I will be chasing Maggie around before we know it-so I'm trying to enjoy limited mobility while it lasts!

Oh how I love this picture. Kevin held up a wobbly, unsuspecting Maggie while Penelope tried to attack her. I can't wait for these girls to play in the dirt together.

Hannah and Casey have been such a joy to work with and we were super excited about their wedding day. The beautiful ceremony was held at St. Thomas Preservation Hall with a quick change over for the reception. The day was wonderful and we were so happy to be a part of it.

Rebecca E Thompson:

Absolutely beautiful photos of Hannah & Casey. Honestly, if I didn't already know them, I'd be certain they were models for your business. That said; I will remember your name for friends, family, etc..
I've no doubt that you have blessed them with photos, both for now and many yrs to come.
You are truly talented.
